Many people look at the environmental crisis and are driven to buy a hybrid. These autos require less gasoline to operate because they also utilize electric batteries. Achieve Maximum Fuel Efficiency for Car

  • Drive smoothly: Driving like a racer will consume much fuel. Aggressive acceleration and applying sudden brakes will affect the fuel efficiency, and the parts of your car engine. Therefore, make sure to accelerate gently and not suddenly. This will save up to 60% of the fuel.
  • Use gears sensibly: Some people do not use gears properly and don’t change the gear at proper speed even after knowing when to change. Changing the gear correctly will help save a lot of fuel. You can save up to 15% of the fuel by using brakes and gears properly.
  • Tires: Maintain proper tire pressure. Check regularly the pressure of your tire, or at least once in two weeks. For appropriate pressure, check the owner’s manual.   • Avoid rush hours: During rush hours, the traffic is heavy, and the car has to stop and start very frequently and this makes the vehicle move slowly in the traffic. This will consume excess fuel. Therefore, avoid rush hours as far as possible, or try other routes if you know.

Electric vs Traditional Car

The demand for an all hybrid car has increased within the past decade, yet traditional cars still sell better. According to the EIA, electric cars sell at a very small fraction compared to gas cars. Yet, by 2040, the growth rate of electric cars is expected to be 11%, whereas conventional cars will only grow by 0.1%. Most family households are presumed to have the two types of vehicles in the future, one for traveling far distances and the other for riding around town. If these predictions are correct, transportation will no longer be a tremendous contributor of greenhouse gases and each individual’s carbon footprint will not have as much of an impact on the environment.

Electric vehicles are a type of automobile that uses one or more electric motors or traction motors for propulsion. Unlike gas-powered cars, they are fueled by electricity, which can come from a variety of sources (fossil fuels and nuclear power, but also renewable sources like tidal, solar, and wind power). About Future of Electric Cars

These vehicles are already in the market already but in selected countries in the world. The real realization of more cars in our streets is expected to be in early 2018. Companies such as General Motors is said to be preparing to release their Chevrolet EV within weeks from now. Nissan is also said to have gearing closer to releasing their EV before 2020.

Volkswagen showcased their electronic car model which they are calling it e-Golf I.D recently in an exhibition in France. It is one of the first one to be produced by their group- Modular Electric Drive Kit (MEB) that deals specifically electric cars. They are set to release it in 2020 with its reproduction set to begin in 2025.

It is expected to have a 400-600km of range. The I.D electric motor is expected to be placed in the back of the car. This will allow the front while to have a lighter turning circle. The I.D will also have a pilot mode. This means that the car will have an option for self-drive. This will give the driver time to chat with passengers or do other stuff.

Its horsepower will be placed in the rear will have zero emotions and with very little noise which is great for environment preservation.

Amazingly the I.D will have no door mirrors commonly known as a side mirror. It will have an inbuilt camera in the front giving you the picture of how your rear, right and left look like.

The headlights are the one thing that will leave you excited. They look at the driver when approaching and signal when in I.D pilot mode. They will also look at the pedestrians and other road users as well as turning to the direction the car wants to move. Isn’t that amazing? That is the great future we are soon to see.

If left unchecked, the cycle repeats 1,2,3 1,2,3 1,2,3 until BOOM! Your engine self-destructs. Not the most effective arrangement, so we want a solution to keep your power from climbing, unchecked. Enter the wastegate. The wastegate is actually a valve (literally, a “gate”) that permits a lot of the exhaust gas (waste) to bypass the turbine. Now we can add a fourth step:

4) The wastegate opens, allowing the turbine to slow, and the boost pressure (and by extension, the power) to fall. The cycle then repeats.Linked to the wastegate itself, is a wastegate actuator. This is just a spring loaded diaphragm that holds the wastegate closed, until some boost pressure is reached. As soon as the boost pressure is sufficient overcome the spring pressure, the wastegate is opened and the boost pressure falls. The cycle will repeat, if there’s sufficient exhaust pressure and boost (I.e., when you keep your foot in it).
